NEPAL - TIBET - BHUTAN (Combine Packages)

1. NEPAL - TIBET : Tour / Raft / Trek / Safari – 15 Days

Day 1 – Arrival at Kathmandu airport 

Receive and transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing of Kathmandu city if time permits / Overnight

Day 2 – Sightseeing of Kathmandu city (if not on day1) Continue sightseeing of Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath and Pashupatinath

Day 3 – RAFTING / POKHARA

Drive to Rafting put in Point for Trishuli River / Day Rafting / Lunch on the Bank of the river / After lunch Drive to Pokhara / Check in Hotel. Refreshment Short sightseeing of Pokhara / Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4 – TREK to Tirkhe Dhunga

Drive to Nayapul, passing through the beautiful village of Lumle where preparations will be made in anticipation of the trek to Birethanti. This particular leg of the journey snakes along the main trail to Sudami with a steady ascent along the side of the valley before concluding the day’s trek at Hile (1495m) with an overnight stay in Tirkhe Dhunga. 

Day 5 TREK to Gorepani

Departing Tirkhe Dhunga, traverse a stream before climbing a stone staircase to the far-stretching village of Magar at Ulleri (2070m). On the way to the day’s final destination, journey through lush forests, across sparkling streams before arriving at Nangethanti and Ghorepani (2850m). Overnight at Gorepani 

Day 6 – TREK to Poon hill / Tadapani

An early morning ascent to Poon Hill (3195m) treats trekkers to an enlightening scene as the sun climbs the sky to peak out from behind the Himalayan titans of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manalsu. Return to the lodge for breakfast before beginning your return-descent to Ghorepani, concluding the day’s events with an overnight stay at Tadapani.

Day 7 – TREK to Gahandruk

Take a journey downhill descent and observe a cornucopia of breath-taking views of the Annapurna mountains before taking a somewhat-steep drop at Kimche (1630m) where you will rest for a moment before pressing onto Chane. Next, walk atop a flag-filled path which slides through the Gurung-inhabited village of Ghandrung . 

Day 8 – TREK end drive to CHITWAN via Pokhara

From Ghandrung, this begins day’s excursion on a descending, downhill adventure Through villages and intricate meadows before arriving at the wonder-filled Syauli Bazaar then Nayapul. End the day of the trekking. Drive about 5 hours to Chitwan via Pokhara / Reach Chitwan in the evening. Briefing about the program / dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – CHITWAN / KATHMANDU 

An early morning Elephant back Safari / Back to Hotel / Breakfast at hotel / Drive to Kathmandu / Check in hotel / Overnight at hotel.

TIBET PART

Day 10 – Transferto the airport / Fly to Lhasa by China Air, Estimated Departure at 1045 hours.This is about an hour Trans Himalayanflight which will give you an opportunity (weather permitting) to view aerialview of Mt. Everest and otherHimlayan Peaks. Arrival in Gonggar Airport in the afternoon. After clearingimmigiration and custom formalities drive toLhasa about 93 Kms about one and half hour. Lhasa is situated at an altitude of3650 m. Upon arrival check in hotel. Rest for acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 –TIBET

Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing of One of the Tibet’s most important and biggest monastery Drepung, Beautiful placed on the mountain slope about 12 Km. outside Lhasa. Back to Lhasa Lunch time. After lunch sightseeing of Norbulinka the former summer palace of Dalai Lama Surrounded by alush green garden. It is favorite place for Tibetan people to celebrate their festivals.

 

Day 12 – TIBET

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast visit the Potala Palace one of the wonders in the world and one of the marvels of Tibet. This huge structure is the former home of the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon visit Jokhang Temple – th emost sacred and oldest temple in Tibet the walk around it is called the Barkhor and must for all pilgrims, It is also a famousmarket for Tibetans for handicraft and antiques.

Day 13 – TIBET

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free for own activities – or explore the small alleys of in the old Tibetan part of Lhasa. Afternoon visit Sera Monastery about 5 Km. outside from Lhasa.

Day 14 – TIBET / KATHMANDU / BHAKTAPUR

An early morning drive to airport. Fly to Kathmandu enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains again while flying to Kathmandu.

Arrival in the morning / Transfer to the hotel / Refreshment. Afternoon

Drive about one hour (15 Km) to Bhaktapur. sightseeing of Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur Durbar Square – It’s an important site popular for medieval art and architecture, thriving local pottery and weaving cottage industries. It is a living monument of all Nepal. When we visit the Durbar Squareand the surroundings with its massive five – storied Pagoda temple devoted to the goddess Laxmi, the colorful market, the narrow streets teeming with local people impress the visitors / Back to Hotel / Refreshment Evening Farewell Nepalese dinner with cultural show and dances.

Day 15 – DEPARTURE

Free till departure / Transfer to the airport / Fly out.

Day 10 – BHUTAN PART

Transfer to airport / Fly to Paro –  Arrive Paro (Altitude 2280 m) (By Druk Air flight): The Guide from Bhutan will receive you at the airport and drive you the short distance to the hotel. After lunch, drive to the ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong 16 km up the valley built in 1647 by the great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, father and unifier of medieval Bhutan, the dzong was destroyed by accidental fire and left in ruins as an evocative reminder of the great victories it was built to commemorate. Explore the ramparts and on a clear day experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m). On the way back, visit Kichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Srongsen Gampo. Dinner and over night at hotel.

Day 11 – BHUTAN

Paro – Thimphu, Excursion toTaktsang Monastery: (Altitude 2320 m, 54kms) A very special day,with an excursion toview the spectacular Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery – After breakfast a short drivetakes us to Satsam Chorten, from there a 2 hours walk till the viewpoint of the monastery.The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanishmoss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. We stop for a rest and lightrefreshments at the Taktsang Jakhang (cafeteria) and then walk a short distance until we see, clearlyand seemingly within reach, Taktsang monastery. The primary Lhakhang was built around Guru Rimpoche’s meditation cave in the 1684by the Penlop of Paro Gyaltse Tenzin Rabgay, thisincredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valleybelow. Legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava, the tantric mystic who brought Buddhism toBhutan, flew here on the back of a flying tiger, Dorji Drolo, said to be his favourite consort? AfterLunch, drive to Thimphu. On the way, visit Tamchog Lhakhang built by Thangthoung Gyalpo in the 15thcentury. In the evening, visit to the Tashichho Dzong, seat of the national government and theCentral Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot ofBhutan). Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 12 – BHUTAN

Thimphu Sightseeing – Paro (54 kms.): (Altitude 2320 m) The day begins with a Visit to the National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honour of our late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk and the Dupthop Lhakhang one of the fewsurviving nunneries in Bhutan. We then visit The Tallest Statue of Buddha, Sangaygang view point,Takin Preserve center and drive to Paro. After lunch, visit Ta Dzong (built in1656 and renovated in1968), an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National Museum. Below the museum is the ParoRimpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”, built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal,the centre of civil and religious authority in this valley. A short walk takes you to the baseof the dzong and across a traditional cantilevered, covered bridge. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13 – BHUTAN – NEPAL / BHAKTAPUR

After breakfast Drive to airport / Fly to Kathmandu/ Check in Hotel / Refreshment / Drive about one hour (15 Km) to Bhaktapur. sightseeing of Bhaktapur Bhaktapur Durbar Square – It’s an important site popular for medieval art and architecture, thriving local pottery and weaving cottage industries.
