SPECIAL BUDDHIST MEDITATION PACKAGE
PROGRAM – 1 (11 Days)
Day 1 – ARRIVAL
Arrival at Kathmandu airport receive and special welcome / transfer to the hotel. Briefing about the program. Freshen up sightseeing of Kathmandu city (if time permits)
Kathmandu city: – Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. Most of the government offices, ministries, parliament house and Royal Palace are located in the city. Kathmandu city is renowned for its cultural and the heritage sites. One can experience history alive! You will visit one of the interesting historical places in the valley; Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you can see the ‘Kumari house’ (house of living goddess), Kasthamandap – constructed using the wood of a single tree. The city of Kathmandu derives its name from Kasthamandap.
Day 2 – FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING
Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu city (if not on day 1)
– Bouddhnath : Drive to Bouddhanath. Bouddhanath is one of the biggest stupas in the world and this is also an important place for Tibetan Buddhism.
– Pashupatinath : Pashupatinath is one of the main Hindu Gods. This is a Hindu temple, so only Hindus are allowed to go inside the main temple. You can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premise from the eastern bank of Bagmati river.
– Patan City : Sightseeing of Patan city including Patan Durbar Square, Golden Temple, Krishna Temple, Golden temple, Mahabouddha etc…
Day 3 to Day 8 – MEDITATION COURSE
Buddhist meditation course in Monastery
6.00 am Morning tea in the dining room
6.30 am Morning Meditation
7.30 am Breakfast
9.00 am Teachings
11.45 am Lunch
2.00 pm Discussion groups
3.00 pm Break for 1/2 hour
3.30 pm Teaching
5.00 pm Tea
6.00 pm Guided Meditation
6.45 pm Dinner
8.00 pm Guided meditation, question/answer
9.00 pm bed
Day 9 – Course end at Monastery – Afternoon Drive to Hotel / Check In Hotel / Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 – Free day in Kathmandu / Farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 11 – Free till departure transfer to the airport / Fly out.
